On your mark, get set, go.

It has been a very busy month, every friday I am completely amazed that an entire week has gone by.

The pad was finished about three weeks ago, then came the rain. Which I am so thankful for. It slowed us up a week, but was so needed. The concrete guys came out and put the forms up for the outside of the house. So now we can actually see the the foot print of the house. At first it looked really tiny. With the car port and the screened in porch it is 6300 sq feet. It is not tiny, but it did look pretty little.

I took a pic of the kiddos in front of the fire place.

Then they started on the plumbing. The plumbing that is going to go through the slab. There is so much to it. The measurements have to be dead on because our floors down stairs are going to be concrete. No sub floor.
Last week we were in a bit of a hurry to get our bath tub and faucet picked out. We needed the schematics, so they could get it all plumbed. I love our tub. I will find a pic of it and put it up here soon.

My little C man has spend a lot of time at the site. He has taken to wearing a measuring tape most all the time. And yesterday was sitting right in with the plumbers and asking them question after question. They assured me he was fine. But I think they were just being nice. 🙂
Here he is with one of our Builders. They were checking measuring tapes.

It is still a little unreal that it is finally begun.

Well I better run, we had piano theory test and a football game today, where big C scored his first ever touchdown. It was very exciting!!! Now I have a mountain of laundry and a very dirty kitchen. Thanks for reading, happy weekend

    • I should be also. I have had to borrow his from time to time. He was playing with his toys and was talking about linear drains the other day. It cracks me up that my three year old uses builders lingo. But I guess that’s because right now that is all his Dad and I are discussing.
